We’re very proud of the quality of this mare!
Luna was born in 2011, to CDC Ansia (2013 Canadian Reserve National Champion Senior Mare, who is an own-daughter of the imported Champion Spanish stallion Hilandero X). Her sire is our amazing multi-National Champion Armani LFA.
Luna’s royal lineage has been clearly evident since she was young. In 2012, she won the Canadian National Champion Junior Mare title as a yearling.
CDC Luna continued her winning streak at the 2015 IALHA National Championship show, winning National Champion Working Equitation Level 1, Junior Rider; National Champion Hunt Seat Pleasure, Junior Rider; National Champion Country English Pleasure, Junior Rider; National Champion Country Pleasure Driving Open, Amateur, and Junior Horse, Reserve National Champion Country English Pleasure Junior Horse, and Reserve National Champion Spanish/Portuguese Mares, 4 & Over.
At the 2015 Haras Cup Working Equitation Championship Show, she won $1850 in prize money, with 4th place wins in Green Horse Novice (against a field of 21) and Junior Rider (competing against 9).
Luna is just under 15 hands tall, but has amazing body and substance.
Luna was in training with Howard Peet at Peet Equestrian from November of 2014 – February of 2015, when she went to live with her new person, Shirley Holz-Lundeen from Washington state. We look forward to watching these two in the competition arena for years to come!
