Hilandero X was a magnificent 16.3hh stallion bred by Nobeleza del Guadiana in Spain who passed away in July of 2017. He competed extensively in halter classes, earning Champion 2-year-old and Best Movement in Salamanca and was again awarded Champion as a 3-year-old in both Salamanca and Piedrahita. During his revision and stallion inspection, he earned the very high score of 81.83. Hilandero was imported from Spain by Yeguada Las Marismas, and as a breeding stallion, he demonstrated his ability to pass on his beauty, size and elegance with quality offspring both in Spain and North America.
He will live on in his progeny. We have retained three of his daughters for our herd: CDC Memoria (2015 and 2016 National Reserve Champion Senior Mare; 2015 and 2016 High Point FPSH Performance and Working Equitation horse at the IALHA National Championships, 2016 #1 WE United Novice Level horse in the Nation, all breeds), CDC Pacifica (not yet shown), and CDC Corazón (2016 National Champion filly 2 & Under).
At the 2016 IALHA National Championships, Hilandero X won Champion Get of Sire, represented by CDC Memoria and CDC Corazón. He was a true and regal treasure, and we will be forever grateful that he was in our lives.
